Syracuse University’s Office of Research has announced the request for proposals for the 2021 Collaboration for Unprecedented Success and Excellence (CUSE) Grant Program. In support of creative arts research across campus and to best prepare arts faculty to apply to the 2021 CUSE Grant Program, the Syracuse University Office of Research will offer an information session on the 2021 CUSE Grant program, including tips and techniques for successful applications in the creative arts.

Following a brief presentation by the Office of Research, a panel of previous CUSE grant awardees in the creative arts will share their experiences developing successful CUSE proposals and respond to questions. This panel of experts features:

Jennifer DeLucia, Assistant Professor and Department Chair, Creative Arts Therapy, College of Visual and Performing Arts
Heath Hanlin, Associate Professor, Transmedia, College of Visual and Performing Arts
Seyeon Lee, Assistant Professor, George Miller Quasi Endowed Professor, School of Design, College of Visual and Performing Arts

The purpose of this intramural grant program is to enhance interdisciplinary collaborations, to grow the research enterprise and enhance scholarship at Syracuse University in order to increase extramural funding and high-quality scholarly output. The program is designed to support faculty in becoming competitive in securing external funding and sponsorship.
